About

Alexandra Dannenmann originates from Germany and has been around Icelandic horses all her life. She started participating in competitions when she was a child and continued to compete over the years with several horses at the highest levels in Europe.

By the age of 23, she successfully managed a rapidly growing stable in a sole charge capacity, offering lessons, coaching, training and horse boarding.
Since 2013, her home base is at the Florida Icehorsefarm in North Fort Myers, Florida.

Alex is IPZV Trainer B certified in Germany and one of the youngest International Sport Judges of the International Federation of Icelandic Horses, FEIF.
This combination of education makes her the most certified Icelandic horse professional in North America.
Her passion and understanding for the horses helped her attain her certifications in record time and with excellent marks.

In 2017 she won the international award
“FEIF Trainer / Instructor of the year”, for which she has been nominated twice.

For several years, she was a member of the board of the national association as well as the education leader, in which position she developed educational projects and systems, such as riding badge certifications, ongoing educations, sport judges and trainer educations.

Working regularly in Iceland, Alex is the go-to person for horse sales and export questions.

She also works for various stables as consultant and advisor, where she functions in all areas of business improvement and sustainability.

Alex is a highly sought-after judge and clinician for competitions and courses around the US, Canada and Europe.
She works with horses and riders through the highest levels, always following her mission to improve the relationship between horse and rider by creating understanding and awareness, using fresh perspectives.

If she is neither in Florida nor elsewhere in the world, she is likely to be found at her second home-base Lettleiki Icelandics in Shelbyville, Kentucky, where she has successfully been working for several years as a consultant.
